The norm of personal ethics.

Besides being grounded in the triune God, personal ethics finds its ethical norm in the character of God as it is expressed in God’s law, which is “holy and righteous and good” (Rom. 7:12). God’s law reflects God’s character and calls his people to be set apart from the world (1 Pet. 2:9–12). Jesus was about the transforming of one's character.Jesus set forth a clear pattern of the demands of the God-centered life See the Gospel of Matthew chapters 5, 6 and 7 LInk:https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+5-7&version=NRSV
